O hooray, you’re here! Welcome to Chapeaux by Simone!

WOOO! I hope you saw the spread about me at Verve Magazine.

I collect vintage hats and rework them to be wearable today. Silk flowers, ribbons, feathers, baubles and pearls are some of my favorite things.  I turn them into beautiful and flattering headwear to beguile and charm everyone who sees you!

Girl’s nights out are enhanced immeasurably by appropriate headgear.

Here’s a beautiful chapeau from my Fall collection: an Italian bucket hat with Victorian-era  feathers and velvet berries, Edwardian mother-of-pearl tie-tack and petersham millinery ribbon.

A beautiful bride in a lovely fascinator at her reception; she changed from her long veil into a fun and easy headband adorned with ostrich feathers, vintage pearls and a luxurious silk rose, all coordinated to the colors of her wedding.

If you are a bride-to-be, we can work together to create a stunning and personal look for the ceremony, reception or showers. I just got a sizable (and awesome!) collection of vintage bridal headpieces and tiaras that I am deconstructing (click here for photos and woo-hoo!s) and I’d love to create something gorgeous  just for you and your special day! Tiaras, hats, bridesmaids accessories, corsages, bouquets…the possibilities are endless!  *faints from creative overload*

Okay, I’m back.  Wheeee!

Members of the wedding party and guests will get a secret “your wedding” discount code if they’d like a chapeau to wear to the wedding. Let’s work together to make your wedding day fashions elegant, unique and full of the glamor of yester-year!

I sell chapeaux and offer fitting and styling advice in person at the Grove Arcade outdoor markets on Sundays…weather permitting!

The Kress Emporium also sells my creations and two more shops with Excellent Taste (Tipsy Star Quilt Shop and Treasure Keepers will soon be carrying exclusive lines of Chapeaux by Simone.

Do pop over to Facebook and “like” my page, logically named  Chapeaux by Simone.

Catch me on Twitter (@chapeaubysimone,  nota bene no “x” in the title).

Let’s have a virtual cocktail sometime and I’ll show you my current collection in real time on Skype (simone_bernhard by appointment so I can clear my studio of current foofery; yes, that’s a technical millinery term!). So fun and no worries about parking.

I hope to see you in one of my chapeaux soon!
